About Us

Post Mark Press was founded in 2001 by Kathy Alpert, as a greeting card manufacturer and wholesaler. Today, the company creates sparkling designs for other companies.  Post Mark's specialty is combining retro images with contemporary humor.

Her popular "Retro Mama" wall calendar and engagement calendar are published by Sellers Publishing. Kathy’s crafting book/CD combo, "Memories of a Lifetime: Animals", is published by Sterling/Chapelle. Note cards with Postmark's retro designs are now on sale at Target.

Kathy Alpert works with materials drawn from her extensive collection of vintage art, which she has been accumulating since the 1970s.  Today, her archive includes more than 15,000 vintage postcards, as well as magazines; sheet music cover art; and other ephemera.

Kathy shared a variety of vintage Valentine postcards from her collection. Ms. Stewart was intrigued by the handwritten postcard messages. After the show, she gave Kathy a postcard of her home in Maine. The postcard was adapted from an early 20th century linen postcard that showcased the summer residence of Edsel Ford.
