Post Mark Press, Inc.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does PostMark Press do?

We work with companies of all sizes, from a tiny gourmet chocolatier in Vermont to Fortune 100 companies, to develop original designs and product lines combining colorful vintage and retro art with humorous taglines. We’re inspired by our extensive collection of old postcards; 50s magazine ads; and other ephemera. We enjoy dusting off forgotten, discarded images and infusing them with contemporary humor.

What services do you provide?

Creative services include photo research, concept development, design, and copywriting. We can work with our clients’ templates to create product designs to their specifications, or we can come up with a format that’s totally fresh and new. We love delving into the past, and our designs reflect popular culture from the Victorian era to the Swingin’ Sixties.

How can I see more images from your collection?

Give us a call at 617/924-3520 or drop us a line to ksa@postmarkpress.com letting us know what type of images you are looking for and we will send you an array of low-resolution jpegs as quickly as possible.

Can I get exclusive rights?

Yes. For a collection of images or original designs, we can offer exclusivity within a client’s category. Assuming, of course, they haven’t been licensed by another company in the same industry.

What will it cost?

That depends on the project’s scope and the client’s budget. Our prices are fair and affordable. We do our best to accommodate each company’s way of doing business.

Do you make greeting cards or other products yourself?

PostMark Press no longer manufactures or sells products. We work with manufacturers and retailers who develop unique and innovative product lines featuring vintage and retro designs.

I’m interested in scrapbooking and crafting. Can I purchase a CD of your images?

Kathy Alpert’s CD/book package, Memories of a Lifetime: Animals was published by Sterling/Chapelle in 2006. It’s available on barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com.

Can I place an order through this website?

No. We still believe in the importance of personal contact – at least initially. Please send an email to ksa@postmarkpress.com or call us at 617/924-3520 to get the ball rolling.

Do you hire freelance artists and writers?

Yes, but we are not seeking new freelancers at this time. If you are passionate about vintage and retro imagery, you are welcome to send a personalized email describing your talents and background to Kathy Alpert at ksa@postmarkpress.com.

Are you looking to purchase more vintage postcards, old magazines, etc.?

We are always interested in hearing from people who are serious about selling old paper. However, we are not equipped to do appraisals at this time.
